J.Co Pops

Our first review will be on J.Co Pops by J.Co Donuts & Coffee. First had it some time ago, it was like love at first sight. Just looking at it, you can't resist but to give it a try. Thumbs up to J.Co for launching these pops.

Now, let's take a look at the real thing. Believe us, if you haven't tried them before, no harm doing so because the appearance alone is already a winner, don't believe us ? see for yourselves:

The above was what's shown behind it's counter and the below is the actual thing you get, try to spot the difference:

Honestly, the differences aren't too great because the display set was also made of real pop donuts as well. Now, coming to the real deal, the score and rating that it deserves. Before we get to that, let's talk a little bit about the taste, the creativity and the price.

The Taste :

Taste wise, it is pretty good. You get 2 each of the 12 different flavors that they have. However, the flavors are fixed and you can't choose your own which can be a problem reason being - not everyone likes all the flavors and that includes us as well. The flavors that they have according to our likings includes: Crunchy, Oreo, Why Nut, Mango, Caviar Choco, Cheese Me Up, Coco Loco, Al Capone, Tiramissu, Mona Pizza, Heaven Berry and Caviar Mint. Again we must stress, some of the flavors are not that great, it's one of those set-backs that it has.

The Creativitiy:

With donut sizes that are slightly bigger than a 50 cent coin, it definitely makes it easy to munch down especially for the guys. The range of coloured toppings that it has also makes it pleasing to the eyes that leads to a healthy amount of cravings. We must say that job well done in the area of creativity.

The Price:

At RM18 for 24 of these mini-pops, it's not exactly the cheapest around. RM12 would have been a much better pricing as we are not living in a country that has such high standards of living. The price is definitely another one of it's set-backs other than the flavors unless you are one of those that has loads of cash lying around. The cravings would have to wait because not everyone would be able to eat it all the time with such pricing, so price wise, we say a bit too much !!!

In conclusion, we can safely say that these pops are definitely worth trying but not a must if you don't have the luxury to do so. We live in a country that has a lot more other good food than this so don't sweat if you can't try it. However, having said that, we want to say that this new creation of J.Co is definitely one good one.

Our Rating : 4/5
